Game basics and Jacksonville’s form
The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Philadelphia Eagles in London for a Week 5 matchup Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT and will be shown on NFL Network.
Yahoo! News reports Jacksonville arrives overseas riding a two-game winning streak, with victories over New England and Cincinnati pushing the Jaguars to 3-1. That momentum makes the matchup one of the higher-profile games on the Week 5 slate in London.
Eagles’ injury issues and roster moves
The Philadelphia Eagles go into the game short-handed because of injuries. Nj reports several starters were ruled out for the trip, including running back Saquon Barkley and receiver DeVonta Smith, both listed with hamstring injuries. Nj also notes that All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson retired earlier this week.
Yahoo! News reports the Eagles are trying to steady themselves following consecutive losses to the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams. Yahoo! News adds the opinion that a victory in London would give the Eagles much-needed momentum before they return home.
Broadcast and viewing information
The matchup will be broadcast on NFL Network. Fans can watch the game online using free trials offered by DIRECTV and FuboTV; if those trials are not available, Sling is presented as an affordable subscription alternative for live viewing.
What to watch
The narrative entering Tottenham centers on two clear threads: Jacksonville trying to keep its winning streak alive and Philadelphia attempting to navigate a narrow injury window while regaining footing after back-to-back losses. The Eagles’ absences in skill positions and the unexpected retirement of a long-time starter have altered their available depth for the trip.
With the Jaguars 3-1 and the Eagles plugging holes in their lineup, Sunday’s contest carries immediate regular-season significance for both clubs as they head back across the Atlantic.
