"It was hurting" throughout the contest, he added, stressing the practical challenge his injury presents: "I have to be able to protect it." Ramsey was explicit about his mindset: "I'm going to give everything to try to (play)." He acknowledged the limits of what can be done medically in the short term, saying, "I can't really do anything about it," and stressing that the choice will come down to whether he can both protect the wrist and still perform at a level that won't let his teammates down.

"It's just going to be about seeing if I'm able to protect it and also still be myself in a good enough capacity where I feel like if I go out there, I won't be letting any of my teammates down," he said, signaling that any return would require both physical containment of the injury and confidence in his on-field play.
