The New York Giants finalized late roster adjustments Saturday, signing wide receiver Dalen Cambre to their 53-man roster and elevating Braxton Berrios from the practice squad one day before the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium.
Roster moves and the vacancy Cambre fills

The promotion of Cambre to the active roster came Sept. 12 and fills the spot the club opened on Sept. 7 when it released veteran wideout Darius Slayton. That move gives the Giants additional depth at receiver as they prepare for Week 1.
Cambre, 25, joined the organization after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft and spent last season on New York’s practice squad before a December promotion that led to appearances in seven games in 2025. The club rewarded his strong training camp with the roster promotion ahead of Sunday's game.
The decision to add Cambre was described by the New York Post as an “insurance policy” ahead of the opener, a characterization that underlines the team’s need for reinforcement at receiver with availability questions lingering.

Malik Nabers remains questionable; Harbaugh's recent comments
Star wide receiver Malik Nabers is officially listed as questionable with a knee injury and was the only Giant given a game designation on the team’s final injury report released Sept. 11. That designation leaves his availability for Sunday uncertain.
Wide receiver Malik Nabers is listed as questionable with a knee injury, and it is unclear if he will be available for Sunday’s season opener.
With Nabers carrying the only game designation, New York’s late-week personnel moves — promoting Berrios for immediate help and elevating Cambre to the roster — reflect a short-term plan to ensure receiver depth for the opener while the team awaits clarity on Nabers’ status.
For now, Dalen Cambre’s promotion and Berrios’ elevation add roster options if Nabers cannot play against Dallas.
