Washington opened the scoring with a long run after the catch that flipped field position and set the tone for his breakout. He finished with six receptions for 124 yards — a career high — and accounted for both touchdowns for Jacksonville in the tight contest.

The decisive fourth-quarter sequence began when Trevor Lawrence connected on a 27-yard throw to Washington on fourth-and-5; Washington reached up and secured the ball one-handed over cornerback Riq Woolen to put Jacksonville ahead. Earlier in the game, Washington’s long first-quarter effort — a 51-yard catch-and-run — provided the explosive playmaking that kept the offense moving.

Steady performance under pressure

Washington’s second touchdown was described as acrobatic, coming on a high-leverage play in the fourth quarter that flipped momentum. Afterward, Washington reflected on the moment, telling reporters, "Just being able to make that play, that’s what it’s all about," and added, "Being the guy your team leans on in a big-time moment…that was special for me," as reported by Yardbarker.

Those catches made Washington the clear focal point of Jacksonville’s attack on Sunday. His showing drew national attention and prompted comparisons to some of the tougher receivers of recent decades, underscoring how quickly he has emerged as a trusted target for Lawrence.

The game remained in doubt until the final seconds. With Washington having done the heavy lifting through the air, Jacksonville’s kicker connected on a 57-yard field goal as time expired to secure the 19-17 result.

Washington’s performance in London represented a milestone: his first multi-touchdown game in a four-year career and a clear demonstration of playmaking ability in critical moments. The long gain early and the clutch fourth-quarter catch combined to make him the central figure in a win decided in the closing seconds.
