Seattle Seahawks guard Quenton Nelson will miss Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals and undergo a minor knee procedure after aggravating an existing injury.
Coach Mike Macdonald announced Friday that Nelson is week-to-week. The Seahawks do not plan to place him on injured reserve.
Macdonald said Seattle knew Nelson was dealing with a knee issue when he arrived from Indianapolis, and his symptoms worsened afterward.
“We re-imaged it, and it was aggravated to some degree,” Macdonald said. “So we’ve kind of done the due diligence, and everybody agrees it’s best to take care of it now and play the long game.”

Nelson, an eight-time Pro Bowler, has played one game for Seattle since the Seahawks acquired him from the Colts on Oct. 27 for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick. Indianapolis selected him sixth overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
