Valencia has made a move for Eli Ndiaye, offering a contract to the former Real Madrid player. Real Madrid must decide by July 24 whether to match the terms. Ndiaye recently spent time with the Atlanta Hawks' G League affiliate before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery.
Valencia Basket have made an important move in the offseason following their multiple departures.
According to Sergio Llebres of Mundo Deportivo, Valencia have submitted an offer to Eli Ndiaye, whose rights belong to Real Madrid.
The offer was registered on July 18, with Real having until July 24 at 11:59 p.m. to match the terms of the contract. If Madrid decide to match Valencia's offer they could decide whether to keep Ndiaye on their roster or to retain his rights if he decides to play outside Liga ACB.
Ndiaye's recent NBA struggles
Ndiaye, who went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, signed a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks prior to the 2025-26 season.
He sustained a left shoulder subluxation during the G League affiliate College Park Skyhawks’ game against Long Island on December 9. An MRI following the game revealed that Ndiaye tore the labrum in his left shoulder, ultimately requiring surgery.
He was later cut by the Hawks on December 31.
Though he never debuted in the NBA, he played nine games in the G League, averaging 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game.
