Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy revealed that he is now getting close to finalizing the Dubs' roster, raising eyebrows for what might be the looming arrival of LeBron James.
It appears that the Golden State Warriors are getting closer to fulfilling their 2026 NBA offseason, and that final puzzle piece to complete their summer might land in a groundbreaking fashion.
In an interview with ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy had an intriguing response to offer when asked if he still has another key matter to pursue for the franchise this offseason.
“I think we’re getting close to finalizing the roster here," Dunleavy said, "So we're looking forward to that finish point."
When McMenamin mentioned Draymond Green's inclusion in that potential plan, Dunleavy simply answered: "We'll see, we'll see. We shall see."

Mike Dunleavy seized a busy offseason for himself this year, mainly retaining several of the Dubs' key pieces from last year. After drafting Yaxel Lendeborg for the No. 11 pick of the 2026 NBA Draft, he brought back Kristaps Porzingis (two-year, $40 million) and Al Horford (two-year, $14 million) from free agency and re-signed Charles Bassey to a one-year, $2.85 million contract.
As such, Dunleavy's latest comments about the Golden State Warriors' final roster plans are simply interesting, considering that they remain in the chase as one of the top suitors for LeBron James.
Led by Draymond Green, the Warriors have been in serious discussions to win the free agency commitment of LeBron. In addition, Stephen Curry also threw his very own pitch to the 41-year-old to join him.
Due to the strong influence of the two, James is reportedly taking a serious look now at the possibility of going to the Warriors.
Golden State winning the LeBron sweepstakes will undoubtedly shake the entire NBA and sports world, and Dunleavy couldn't be more eager to deliver that possibility.
